On Tuesday, our community approved the non-recurring operational referendum that was on the ballot for Viroqua Area Schools. According to preliminary results, the measure was approved with 2,244 votes in favor (58.1%) and 1,615 votes opposed (41.9%). The funds provided by this referendum will allow Viroqua Area Schools to make investments that will benefit our students for years to come. We are incredibly appreciative for the support extended by our community and for their engagement in the months leading up to election day. DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR SEARCH COMMUNITY SURVEY
Viroqua Area Schools is beginning the process of hiring a full-time district administrator to start work on July 1, 2025. The School Board enlisted the services of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards to assist in facilitating the search process.
The Viroqua Area Schools Board of Education is interested in gathering input from staff and the community related to the hiring of a new district administrator. A Community Survey is one of the tools being used to help gather this information from the various stakeholders in the district. The information gathered from the Community Survey will assist the board in the creation of a profile outlining the skills and characteristics sought in candidates for the position and the development of questions to be used in the interviews.
